Pathway to healing

What is Sin

Is Hell real?

The reality of Hell is discussed in great depth in the Old and New
Testaments. Some translations refer consistently to the word Hell, as
we use it today, while others use the original word Sheol, which is
from the original Hebrew language in the Old Testament, or Hades,
which is from the original Greek language in the New Testament.
Before our redeemer Jesus came to provide a place in Heaven for
those who died as believers in God, they went temporarily to Upper
Sheol, or Upper Hades, where they comfortably awaited their
redeemer.

That place was also called Paradise and also Abraham’s Bosom after
Abraham died and went there. After Jesus was crucified and before
He was resurrected, He descended to that place to rescue the
believers. Paradise is now in Heaven, and there are no souls of
believers under the earth anymore.

Those who have died without believing in the God of the Bible have
wound up in Hell (the Lowest Hell), which is also Lower Sheol or
Lower Hades. This is a temporary holding place of terrible torment,
which, along with all of its inhabitants, will be cast into the Lake of
Fire as a final and eternal place for all unbelievers.

Daniel 12:1-2
1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Revelation 21:8
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and
whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Revelation 19:20
20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Surveys have shown that a huge percentage of Christians do not believe in a literal burning Hell, which is one of the most important doctrines presented in the Word of God. How could this be? The Bible emphatically states that the devil, who is the god of this world, blinds the minds of people to the Gospel.

The scripture below makes reference to unbelievers, but this statement
clearly applies to many in the Church today as well, those who do not
believe what the Word of God states on this and many other issues of
paramount importance.

2 Corinthians 4:3-4
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

To be an “unbelieving believer” indicates an identity crisis, and we have to know whose team we are on, either God’s or Satan’s. To not believe in the written Word of God is not a safe place to be, as Jesus is the Word of God. The Word dwelt among us, and became flesh.

John 1:14
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
The Bible tells us that we must fear God. This is a reverential awe for Him that will not us allow us to take Him for granted or disrespect His Word. We are to fear God who is able to destroy soul and body in Hell. We are not to fear the devil or man, and we are not to disregard what God has made very clear in His Word.

The scriptures were not written for us to pick and choose whatever we
feel like believing. God’s is sovereign over His Word, not us.

Matthew 10:28
28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
The Bible teaches us that we have not even begun to have any knowledge or wisdom whatsoever if we don’t have a reverential fear of God. Jesus is the Word of God.

Proverbs 1:7
7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Psalms 111:10
10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
There are very many scriptures that make reference to Hell, and Jesus
spoke much about it and warned people about it. If people choose not
to believe the truth stated in the Word of God, and will not believe the
words of Jesus, who came to save them from Hell, they may be walking on a very dangerous path.

Proverbs 15:11
11 Hell and destruction are before the LORD: how much more then the hearts of the children of men?

Proverbs 15:24
24 The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath.

Matthew 23:33
33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

Matthew 5:29-30
29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

James 3:6
6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

Revelation 1:18
18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Jesus descended into Hell to rescue the believers who were looking forward to His appearance.

Ephesians 4:8-11
8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

Jesus also preached to the disobedient in Hell who were going to remain there. That would undoubtedly be a sermon they would never
forget.

1 Peter 3:18-20
18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. Although Jesus went into Hell, He didn’t remain there.

Acts 2:31
31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. Jesus took upon Himself all of the punishment for our sins, for those who receive Him by faith and make Him Lord of their lives.

Colossians 2:9-15
9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Prayer Request - Heailing Ministry

Every soul is important to the Lord. Maybe you have lost ones who need the Lord and you have prayed and now you are looking for agreement. Each person has a purpose to fulfill that no one else can accomplish. If the enemy is able to capture these souls through sin in their lives, it will be impossible for them to accomplish the purpose.

Maybe you have loved ones sick and need prayers for healing for them.
